The plot was engaging and had me hooked from the first page. I'm attributing that to this author's amazing storytelling ability. That said, I wasn't bothered by that as much as I usually am.

Fighting against each other but needing desperately to align. Both are lost without the other and yet each is a current going the opposite direction. Denying your soul, trying to do the right thing, is it worth it? Addison carries this deep sadness inside of her but I found that only drew me to her more.
